House 

Country English Inspiration

The main house was designed by a well-known San Francisco architect as a vacation home in 1930 and was more recently upgraded and expanded. Decorated by a local designer who has been featured in House Beautiful and Architectural Digest, the house feels like a bit of country England in wine country.  There are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, living room, dining room, and a private library with pullout couch (or fourth bedroom), and extensive outdoor living spaces. The house accommodates 11 with window and day beds for additional sleeping.

Lush Formal Gardens  

Surrounding the main house are nearly three acres of land, including extensive formal gardens.  The original garden was designed by the same designer as Golden Gate park and has been maintained throughout the generations.  Roses bloom on the trellis, flowers radiate all summer with plenty of sunny and shady spots for relaxing during the days and evenings.  The back deck has a BBQ.  The front terrace is gorgeous. And away from the house down a winding path is a large 35 x 20 foot pool, gas fire pit, antique barn and additional dining area.

Located in the hamlet of Forestville, the house is 15 minutes from the quaint town of Healdsburg and amenities of Sebastopol and Santa Rosa.  Guerneville is just a short drive down the road.  World-class wineries are in abundance and many are within a short 5 to 10 minute drive. The Russian River is in walking distance.

The local grocery store is a 5 minute drive and Whole Foods is 10 minutes away.  There are dozens of restaurants within 10 minutes, as well as the Michelin Star Farm House Inn which is a short walk.  Santa Rosa is also a short drive and has all the services of a large town, including good hospitals, shopping malls, etc.
